Caregiver Training and Development

All caregivers are background checked and fingerprinted by LiveScan through the Department of Justice.

All caregivers are required to have 5-hours of training before meeting with a client.  5-hours annually is also required.

All caregivers are to be certified and listed on the state website

All caregivers are to be checked for Tuberculosis and have a negative result.

 Our caregivers are required to complete a comprehensive course provided by the Alzheimer's Association, focusing on specialized care for clients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. 

 All caregivers are required to complete a dedicated course on providing specialized care for individuals with Parkinson's Disease. 

 Unlike the video-based training often prevalent in this field, Angel Power Home Care distinguishes itself by requiring caregivers to complete a rigorous hands-on training program. This immersive approach allows them to directly apply and practice essential care methods with individuals, fostering a deeper level of skill and confidence 

 We are committed to advanced care techniques, which is why all Angel Power Home Care caregivers will be trained in Music Therapy. This newly developed and highly effective approach leverages music to stimulate cognitive function. Our training methodology is informed by the insights from the acclaimed documentary "Alive Inside," accessible on YouTube and various streaming platforms. 

 At Angel Power Home Care, we are committed to providing the highest quality of life for our clients. All of our caregivers receive comprehensive training in the newest available tools and advancements in home care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease. 

 At Angel Power Home Care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients is paramount. To uphold this commitment, all our caregivers receive comprehensive training in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), Basic First Aid, and the Heimlich Maneuver. These vital skills enable our team to provide immediate and effective assistance in emergency situations, bridging the critical gap until professional medical attention can be administered. 

ROM techniques refer to methods used to assess and improve the extent to which a joint can move. These techniques are employed in various settings, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training, to enhance flexibility, mobility, and overall joint function.  

 At Angel Power Home Care, we understand that compassion and empathy are fundamental to exceptional care. Leveraging advanced AI technology, we have developed a proprietary Compassion Test that all prospective caregivers are required to complete. This innovative assessment accurately measures an individual's levels of compassion and empathy, ensuring that every member of our caregiving team embodies these crucial qualities.
